Story
Matas de Minas Region
Matas de Minas Region is a renowned coffee-growing region in southeastern Brazil, located in the state of Minas Gerais near the borders of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. Known for its mountainous terrain and ideal climate, the region produces some of the country’s finest specialty coffees. The rich soils and high altitudes contribute to the beans' unique flavour profiles, which are often characterised by bright acidity, balanced sweetness, and complex aromas.
Claudineia Neves & Anilson Fária Ramos
Claudineia and her husband, Anilson Fária Ramos, are dedicated micro-producers whose coffee has been a standout in our offerings for the past two years. Their farm Neves Ramos only spans over 3 hectares.
"For three generations, our family has been cultivating coffee in the rich, fertile soils of the Matas de Minas region. As passionate coffee growers, we've built our farm from the ground up, passing down invaluable knowledge while embracing sustainable practices and modern innovations.
Today, we're proud to be a family rooted in both tradition and progress. Our two young daughters are the heart of our farm, working alongside us every day and learning the craft of coffee farming. Our journey has not been without challenges, but through perseverance, hard work, and dedication, we were able to purchase our own land—a place where we produce coffee that reflects our core values: dedication, care, and respect for the environment.
The coffee you’re about to experience is the result of countless hours of meticulous care. From selective harvesting and soil management to water conservation and sustainable farming techniques, every step of the process is done with attention to detail. Our commitment is not just to produce exceptional coffee, but also to ensure that every cup supports environmental balance and sustainability". says Claudineia
